JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, recently has provided an efficient and enduring energy solution for Africa's largest rooftop solar project with its innovative N-Type TOPCon technology. Located in the Tema Free Zone of Ghana, the project utilizes 16.8 MWp of JinkoSolar's N-Type modules, expected to generate 24,750 MWh of sustainable clean energy annually. This project marks a significant milestone in the development of renewable energy in Africa and demonstrates JinkoSolar's strong commitment to promoting the global transition to green energy.

In the demonstration project on the roof of a 5MW distributed factory in Yiwu, China, JinkoSolar's N-Type TOPCon modules once again demonstrated superior performance with enhanced monofacial power generation efficiency. By comparing JinkoSolar’s P-type Monofacial 540W modules with N-type Monofacial 555W modules under the same conditions, the N-Type monofacial modules significantly outperformed the P-Type monofacial modules in both cumulative power output and generation per Watt, achieving an energy yield of over 3%. This result fully showcases the outstanding performance of N-Type monofacial modules in boosting power generation efficiency.

JinkoSolar's N-Type TOPCon modules lead not only in power generation efficiency but also in their low degradation rate, which is key to long-term stable power generation. In the extremely harsh UV180+DH1000 test by TUV Nord, JinkoSolar’s N-Type TOPCon modules were subjected to 180W/m² of UV irradiation for 1000 hours and completed extreme aging simulation under high temperature and high humidity conditions. The test results showed a power degradation rate of only 2.93%, significantly lower than the industry standard of 5%. Ghana, located in the tropics, experiences high temperatures and abundant rainfall throughout the year, with high UV intensity. The low degradation and durability of JinkoSolar’s N-Type TOPCon ensure that it achieves long-term efficient energy output in extreme environments, while significantly reducing maintenance and replacement costs in long-term operations.

The rooftop solar project in Ghana, utilizing JinkoSolar's N-Type TOPCon technology, is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 13,000 tons annually, providing strong support and demonstration for the green energy transition on the African continent. JinkoSolar looks forward to continuing to work with partners such as Helios Solar Company and Dutch & Co, to promote clean energy projects in Africa and other regions, contributing to global sustainable development.
